Board Meetings

At Board Meetings, you’ll collaborate with people like you who can help you be a more effective social media leader.

Everything is completely private, off-the-record, and in an incredibly efficient format. Get fast answers to the questions and challenges you can’t talk about anywhere else.

Every meeting is exclusively for social media leaders at major hospitals.

You’ll connect with more social media leaders from major hospitals in one day than you will anywhere else all year. Bringing so many hospitals together creates incredible conversations that span a wide range of challenges. You’ll get answers and insights from unexpected places, make amazing connections, and leave with a notebook full of ideas.

There are absolutely no vendors or sponsors allowed.

No vendors, sponsors, or consultants of any kind allowed. No speaking slots are for sale. No vendors are allowed in the room. No sponsors will be accepted in any form.

Board Meetings are for you and leaders like you. No sales pitches, period.

You’ll have incredibly valuable conversations.

Because everyone in the room is a social media leader, no matter what you’re looking to start, figure out, or fix — someone else has been there before and can help.

It’s efficient and designed for busy leaders.

We’re famous for running on-time, keeping a fast pace, and expert moderation. You’re busy, so we make sure every minute is time well spent.

Unique venues and changing formats — but always great experiences.

We mix things up to keep it interesting so no two meetings are ever the same. But the core never changes: Great conversations through unconferences, Show & Tell talks, member-led discussions, and meal discussions. We do four meetings per year with low registration fees aimed to simply cover our costs.

We don’t do a lot of the usual conference stuff.

There are no sponsors, exhibitors, panels, keynotes, vendors, or canned presentations. In fact, the only time someone stands at the front of the room is when another member is sharing with you. Member Meetings aren’t conferences. They’re the highlight experience of membership, and attending gets you better insights, answers, and the help you need to lead your social media program. These conversations don’t happen anywhere else — it’s the kind of practical, actionable advice you can only get from other leaders like you.

What members say:

The unconference exceeded my expectations. I learned, I educated, I debated, I shared, and I left the event better prepared to manage my organization’s social media program. Mo Moorman, Aurora Health Care

A fantastic meeting. I’ve got several pages of ideas to follow-up on, lots of great contacts made, and had a ton of fun, to boot. Neal Linkon, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin

The experience and collective knowledge in the room is invaluable. Diane Lang, Nationwide Children’s Hospital

Nothing is more helpful than being in a room with professionals who can provide specific input related to your social media problems or questions. Julie Beckert, HCR ManorCare

This was a worthwhile experience; great discussions by great speakers who are people like us in the healthcare social media world. Marina McGowan, Northwell Health

I love Health Board Meetings -- best two workdays of the year! JESSICA TURNER, VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER

I’ve been to a number of conferences and never enjoyed them much as I did this event. I felt extremely comfortable, accepted, and understood. I gained a number of takeaways, but also confidence in what we’re doing as a healthcare system. Courtney Leach, Parkview Health

The Health Member Meeting was fantastic! I walked away from the first day with ideas and inspiration. I walked away from the second day with strategic insights I plan to implement in our social media program. Alexandra Tursi, The University of Vermont Medical Center

Great opportunity to network (and empathize). Lots of smart people together in the same room — and everyone ‘gets it.’ Lisa McMahan, Oregon Health & Science University

This has been the single-most informative meeting I have ever been to! I have never been so excited and empowered to do my job and do it well! I have so many ideas!” Ariane Detamore, Union Hospital
